Individually administered standardized tests are given to identify skill levels in the core academic areas of reading, writing, and math. Within the broader areas are specific strengths and weaknesses such as basic reading, reading comprehension, reading fluency (speed), math calculation, math reasoning, spelling, and writing mechanics.  These results can be used as a baseline for tutoring, to clarify a student’s skill level, and to help parents understand academic and grade levels.
